These are monthly opportunities to meet other people who want to learn about plants in an informal, low pressure setting.

How it works

Everyone prepares a plant fact of ~ 1min which they’d like to present to the group. This could be: folklore, identification tips, history, agricultural or anything else related to plants! If you aren’t confident with plant facts yet, you’re welcome to share about other parts of nature too.

We’ll start with getting to know one another for 20-30mins. After this, the fact-sharing floor will open! Each person gets up to 5 minutes to present and discuss their fact with the group. Any time left over can be used to discuss more about the facts presented or chat about life updates.

Why are we doing this?

We’ve noticed that there are few spaces for people in the conservation sector to meet regularly in informal contexts. We want to support more people, particularly young people, to learn about plants.

Call invitations will be sent 24 hours in advance of the call. Please make sure to sign up in good time if you wish to join!

You do not need to re-sign up for each call.

These meetups are inspired by the brilliant Generation Nature podcast, a lovely group of young people in the conservation sector.
